Tile for Amherst bathrooms
Many Amherst baths from the 1960s and 70s are due for an update, and tile is the heart of a good refresh. A new tile floor, tub surround or walk-in shower can change the room.
We handle the full bathroom remodel when you want it, including vanities and shower tile, so one team coordinates the details.
Kitchens, entries and mudrooms
Entry floors in Amherst take a lot of salt and slush through the winter. Porcelain tile shrugs it off and wipes clean in seconds.
In kitchens, tile pairs well with backsplashes for a coordinated look. See our wall tile page for ideas.
Choosing material and size
Porcelain is dense and works for most floors. Ceramic is often used on walls, and natural stone offers a unique look with extra care needs. Large format tiles mean fewer grout lines, while mosaics add texture.
Browse porcelain tile or mosaic tile before you come in so you have a sense of what you like.
What tile costs in Amherst
Installed floor tile commonly ranges from about $10 to $25 per square foot in Western New York in 2026, with stone and complex patterns higher. Showers and full bathrooms add waterproofing, wall work and fixtures.
We provide a written scope so you can see how much is tile and how much is prep.
Process and prep
We measure at a showroom visit or in-home estimate, check the subfloor for flatness and movement, and talk through grout colors and layouts. Prep might include leveling or an underlayment.
Setting, grouting and sealing follow, and you get a walkthrough when it is finished.
