Carpet in Amherst homes
In the many split-level and two-story homes around Amherst, carpet is often what makes bedrooms and stairways feel warm. It also absorbs noise between floors and cushions little feet.
For high-traffic family rooms, a tighter, durable weave holds up better, and we will point you to samples built for that.
Fibers and construction
Nylon tends to be durable, polyester can be soft and budget-friendly, and blends offer a mix. Texture, twist and density all affect how a carpet wears.
Our carpet flooring page covers the basics, and the showroom lets you try them underfoot.
Stairs and landings
Stairs are the hardest part of a carpet job, since each tread and riser has to be wrapped and tacked precisely. We take care with edges and seams so the result looks tidy.
