Basements and lower levels
Plenty of Lockport homes have basements with stone or block foundations and a history of dampness. Luxury vinyl plank is a common choice for finishing those spaces because it tolerates moisture better than many wood-based floors.
Before any plank goes down, we look at the walls and slab to decide whether moisture needs to be addressed. A new floor should not hide a problem that will come back.
A wood look without the upkeep
LVP offers wide planks with convincing grain and a range of tones, from pale oak to dark walnut. It resists scratches and is easy to clean, which is welcome in a house with kids, pets, and winter boots.
Our team can help you compare wear layers, thicknesses, and finishes. The luxury vinyl plank page outlines the types we offer.
What LVP costs in Lockport
Installed luxury vinyl plank in Western New York for 2026 commonly lands around $5 to $10 per square foot. The range reflects product quality, subfloor prep, and how many cuts or stairs the project includes.
We include removal and prep in your estimate so you are not surprised later. If you want to spread payments out, we offer 12-month no-interest financing, subject to credit approval.
Older subfloors and prep
Planks lie flat only if what is beneath them is flat. In older Lockport houses we often find patched plywood, old adhesive, or low spots that need attention.
Our floor demolition and prep services take care of tear-out and surface work, and we plan the whole sequence so the install goes in without drama.
From showroom to walkthrough
Begin with a visit to Tonawanda or an in-home estimate. We measure, discuss your daily routine, and show you samples that fit the room.
Once you decide, we schedule prep and installation, then do a final walkthrough with you. The process is straightforward and you will know the steps ahead of time.
Pairing LVP with other floors
Many Lockport customers use LVP through living spaces and kitchens, then add carpet in bedrooms for comfort. Tile in the bathroom completes the mix.
We think about transitions and stairs from the start so the whole house feels connected. Our vinyl stairs page covers staircase options.

Luxury vinyl plank questions in Lockport, NY
Sometimes with leveling, sometimes after the old floor is removed. We inspect it at the estimate and explain what prep is needed.
It is warmer than tile and cooler than carpet. Rugs make a big difference in bedrooms and living rooms.
LVP stands up well to pets thanks to its scratch-resistant surface, though very large dogs can still leave marks. We can steer you to tougher wear layers.
Plank styles imitate wood, while tiles imitate stone or ceramic. See our vinyl floor tiles page for those options.
