Made for finished basements
Many Clarence homes have large finished lower levels used as family rooms, gyms, or play spaces. Luxury vinyl plank is waterproof and stays comfortable underfoot, which is why it is a go-to for these rooms.
It is not a substitute for fixing a real water problem, so we always check the slab and discuss moisture before recommending a product.
Mudrooms, kitchens, and winter traffic
Snowmelt, road salt, and wet boots all end up at the back door in a Western New York winter. A good LVP with a durable wear layer handles that daily abuse and wipes clean in minutes.
For kitchens, it also stands up to dropped dishes and spilled drinks better than many wood products.
Choosing a plank
Planks vary in thickness, wear layer, core construction, and texture, and those details affect how a floor feels and how long it lasts. At our showroom you can pick up samples, compare them in the light, and ask which ones we would choose for your house.
You can also order samples online and have them shipped to you if you prefer to look at them at home.
What LVP costs around Clarence
For 2026 in Western New York, installed luxury vinyl plank commonly runs about $5 to $9 per square foot, depending on product quality, subfloor prep, and room layout. Stairs and detailed trim work add to the total.
After we measure, you get a written quote that lays out materials and labor so there are no surprises.
How the install goes
We start with a showroom visit or an in-home estimate, then confirm your selection and the prep needed. Old flooring is removed if required, the subfloor is cleaned and leveled as needed, and the planks are installed with attention to layout and staggered seams.
Before we leave, we walk the finished floor with you and go over care instructions.

Luxury vinyl plank questions in Clarence, NY
The planks themselves resist water, which makes them great for basements and kitchens. Water that gets underneath can still be an issue, so moisture problems should be addressed first.
Sometimes, if the surface is flat, clean, and stable. We will check during the estimate and tell you whether removal is the better path.
It can feel cool over concrete, but a quality underlayment and a warm area rug help. Many customers in Clarence are happy with it in basements.
